Served it for Easter breakfast this morning. Only changes I made was add two more eggs (my eggs seemed small although they weren’t supposed to be) and I added a small can of green chilies to the sausage mixture. After the dish was fully baked I sprinkled fresh chives from my garden on it. Beautiful and absolutely delicious. This recipe is a keeper for sure!!!!

You don’t have to. But it’s so you can wait until breakfast .

Followed the recipe exactly except added additional bake time per the comments. Will definitely make again.

I did take out of fridge for a half hour before putting in oven. I used maple sausage. It was cooked all the way through!

You may want to put an oven thermometer in your oven and make sure your oven is getting to the right temperature.  I have had ovens that didn’t get up to the right temp before with similar results.

I would use the shaved steak that comes in the black plastic tray with a clear cover; lay on a cutting board and cut into strips then turn and cut again to make smaller if desired. Cook with your onions and peppers and mushrooms if desired. Drain on paper towel so it’s not soggy. You could add Montreal steak seasoning or other seasoning as desired. Proceed with recipe. Adyjust amount of steak you prefer. Reserve any leftover in fridge ir freeze.

Do they sit overnight on the counter or inside the fridge?
