I love how this cookie looks. People will be happy just looking at them. They also taste really good. I am making more for my Christmas goodie boxes. They will be a great addition to the other treats.
Thank you for sharing your recipe!!

It seems as this recipe is missing baking soda. That’s why they are coming out flat for some of us. I’ll try again!!

Spread super thin!! I followed the recipe exactly and I make a lot of cookies. Very disappointing.

Plopped in a little sour cream and the consistency was perfect, but they still crack. 16 g balls, 12 minutes. So, same size balls, 10 minutes, still cracking, but much better. not so tough pressing the kiss.

Used Dutch-processed cocoa, definitely worth it.

I’m sorry they didn’t turn out for you! I wonder if your dough was too dry (it’s easy to over-measure flour and cocoa powder!) or maybe they were baked just slightly too long? If you try again I hope you’ll let me know if that helps at all.

I’m sorry they didn’t turn out well for you! I’ve found that sometimes cookies can be dry if I add too much flour or cocoa powder. If you try again, try scooping the flour and cocoa powder into the measuring cup with a spoon then leveling it with a knife. That can sometimes help you not end up with too much, which would make the cookies more dry.
