Puppy Chow Cookies

Puppy Chow Cookies, Muddy Buddy Cookies, Chocolate Peanut Butter Delicious Cookies – whatever you call these, you are going to LOVE them! If you are a fan of puppy chow (chex mix coated in chocolate, peanut butter, and powdered sugar), this is the cookie for you.

You start with a peanut butter cookie, which is soft and chewy and delicious all on its own (as Zeke and I can attest to – we ate a few haha). Then you dip the cookies in a combination of melted chocolate and peanut butter, then coat them in powdered sugar.

Puppy Chow Cookies

Is your mouth watering yet? They are amazing! I had to freeze these cookies immediately to keep from eating way too many of them. Unfortunately (fortunately?) they also taste great straight out of the freezer. 🙂

If you are a chocolate and peanut butter fan, these cookies are for you. They are the ultimate combination of the two flavors, and they are perfect for your Christmas cookie trays!

These cookies really do taste like puppy chow in cookie form. You will love them – happy baking! 🙂

Bake for 8-9 minutes until golden at he edges and bottom is beginning to brown. Remove from oven and transfer cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Make the coating: In a microwave safe bowl combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Heat on 50% power for 1 minute and stir. Continue microwaving at 30 second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  5. Place powdered sugar in a separate bowl. Dip each cookie in chocolate and using a fork remove cookie, tapping off excess chocolate. Immediately dip the cookie into the powdered sugar and toss to coat completely. Place back on cooling rack to until chocolate is set.
