Instant Pot Corn on the Cob

Instant Pot Corn on the Cob

I am SO excited to share this one with you, because once you try corn on the cob in the Instant Pot, you will never go back to boiling it on the stove! Sweet corn season is one of my absolute favorite times of year, and this is hands-down the easiest and best way I’ve found to make it. It comes out perfectly tender and sweet every single time!

If you’ve never tried making corn on the cob in the Instant Pot before, you are in for a treat. It’s basically foolproof – just a few minutes of cook time, no watching a pot of boiling water, and no guessing whether it’s done. I make this all summer long whenever we have fresh corn on hand, and it’s become one of our go-to easy sides for both busy weeknights and backyard cookouts.

The best part? You can have perfectly cooked corn on the table in under 15 minutes, start to finish. It frees up your stovetop for the rest of dinner, which is always a win in my book!

• It’s consistent. The corn comes out perfectly tender every time – not mushy, not undercooked.
• It frees up stove space. Perfect for when you’re juggling multiple dishes at once.

• 1 cup water
• Butter, salt, and pepper for serving
That’s it! This recipe really is as simple as it sounds.

Tips for Perfect Corn Every Time
Don’t skip the trivet – you want the corn steaming above the water, not sitting in it. I also like to break my ears of corn in half so I can fit more in the pot at once, which is great when you’re feeding a crowd. And if you’re not serving it right away, the corn holds its heat well, so it’s easy to make a little ahead of time.

I hope you love this recipe as much as we do around here! It’s become one of our favorite ways to enjoy sweet corn season, and I think it might become one of yours too.
