Mango Giveaway {Closed}

Mangoes

As I mentioned in my mango ice cream post, Whole Foods was nice enough to send me a whole case of mangoes to play around with. And lucky for you, one reader gets to win their own case! The case consists of Mexican Ataulfo mangoes, which are soft, buttery and creamy. You will love these mangoes. I have to tell you, I used our last two today for smoothies and Mike and I are both so sad they’re gone!

To enter to win your very own case of mangoes, just leave a comment on this post telling me what you would do with all those mangoes. For an extra entry, “like” What Megan’s Making on facebook and leave a separate comment letting me know. The contest ends Sunday night at midnight and I will choose a winner via random number generator. Good luck!

Congratulations to comment #129 – Hazel! I sent you an email :) Thanks so much for entering!

*Note: If you are worried about how hard mangoes are to peel and eat, check out this handy video from Whole Foods! It definitely helped me :)

    Mmmm… would peel, chop, and freeze to add to smoothies- I make my hubby a smoothie every morning to take to work. Only way he will eat breakfast! Mangoes would make for a nice change, I typically don’t buy them because they are pricey!

    I’d definitely try the mango ice cream, also love mango smoothies, will play around with making a coconut cake with mango frosting (two fruits popular in my home country — Philippines) and I’d whip up more of my signature Beef Cumin Tacos with Mango Salsa.

    Well I only knew to eat them plain, but reading everyones comments gave me a lot of other great ideas on how to use mango. It would be so much fun to be able to try a few new ways of eating them!

    I have a 3 year old that can eat 2 entire mangos for a snack and a 9 month old who seems to be following in his brothers footsteps. I practically need an entire box if I ever expect to get any or make anything with them.
