Bake Sale Success

The Michigan Food Blogger’s Bake Sale was a success! Thanks so much to everyone who helped out (by baking or by stopping by to support us!) and made it such a great event!  And especially, thank you to Noelle, who was such an amazing help! She baked some great tasting treats and drove all the way from Lansing to sit at the table with me. So go visit her blog and tell her how awesome she is 🙂

The bake sale was held at Kava House, a really great local coffee shop in Grand Rapids. It was supposed to be outside, but it was so cold and windy today, that the owner was nice enough to let us set up inside. I think the situation worked out really well – people stopping by for coffee bought our treats, and people coming specifically for the bake sale also bought some coffee. 🙂

The treats included:

Chocolate Globs, Monster Cookies, Cinnamon Roll Cookies, and Oatmeal Brown Bread:

Carrot Cake Cupcakes:

Almond Cherry Granola (recipe coming soon!):

p.s. notice my new business cards…aren’t they cute? I feel so professional.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Biscotti and Chocolate Banana Muffins with Peanut Butter Frosting (from Noelle – they look delicious, and both were a big hit!)

Plus so many more I didn’t get pictures of! All in all, I’d say it was a success and we raised over $200 to support Share our Strength! This whole experience was new for me, as I’m not one to get out there and promote events or ask for things, but I’m proud of how well we did, and so thankful to everyone who helped! 🙂 And now we have a goal to beat for next year!
