Silpat Giveaway! {Closed}

This contest is now closed. Congratulations to Julie (comment #77)! Julie, I’ve sent you an email :)

Thanks to the kind people at Silpat, I’ve got a really fun giveaway for you today!Β I get to give awayΒ a Silpat Half Size and a Roul’Pat Half Size to one lucky winner!

If you read my post on Monday, hopefully you noticed the awesome pan liner that my chicken sausage and broccoli packets were cooked on.Β  Silpat is the original nonstick baking mat, and I can now attest to just how good it is. Do you see that melty cheese up there in the picture? Well, I let it cool and harden before I cleaned the pan. I’d like to pretend I did it on purpose to test the silpat, but let’s be honest. πŸ™‚ Anyway, that cheese came off in seconds, no scrubbing required. I was impressed!

I first wrote about the Roul’Pat about a year ago when I included it in my list of cookie baking tips. This thing is wonderful as a work surface! I use it for kneading bread dough, rolling out pie dough, and cutting out sugar cookies. It has a nonstick work surface, and also a non-slip back so that it doesn’t shift around while you’re working. Plus it’s easy to clean. I can’t say enough good things about this product.

Now, Β on to the giveaway! As mentioned above, one winner will receive one Silpat Half Size and one Roul’Pat Half Size. To enter, leave a comment below letting me know what you would use your prize for.Β  For an extra entry, “like” Silpat on Facebook and leave a separate comment letting me know. Feel free to “like” me too if you want, but it’s not a requirement. πŸ™‚ Giveaway ends Wednesday, 10/3 at midnight. Good luck!Β  πŸ™‚

p.s. you can also connect with Silpat on Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube!

*This giveaway is provided by Silpat. I received one Silpat for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

  229. Anything and everything with cheese. I’m trying to teach my roommate’s daughter how to cook various things and the best way to learn how important it is to watch what you are making is to let a couple of things burn. She will probably not believe me when I warn her that she overfilled a stuffed creation until it’s time to clean the mess and she’s nowhere to be found. She’s not an easy student, she’s always questioning how I know that certain things will happen. So letting her make her own mistakes after ample warning probably will be the best thing.

  230. I’d use it to bake cookies on.

  236. I just can’t seem to make good cookies w/out them sticking and I’ve been looking for something just like this!

  237. My 6-year-old niece was recently put on a gluten-free and dairy-free diet. Most of the recipes I’ve found for sweets that she can eat call for parchment paper lining of the baking sheet. A Silpat would definitely help make that easier and more environmentally friendly, as I wouldn’t have to be purchasing and using new parchment every time I bake for her!

  238. I would love to use it for rolling out shortcrust for a galette!

  239. I would use either the Silpat or the Roul’pat to make delicious goodies for my husband and 3 little girls. They love to cook and bake with me wearing their little aprons. 243. Pie crust and cinnamon rolls!

  244. Nonstick surfaces are so great for getting the cookies off the sheet — never thought about using a Silpat (or lookalike) for rolling dough but it’s brilliant! Now I have to try it!

  245. I liked silpat on FB
